I've noticed when i tried tank mates with my puffers in the past that as soon as something sat still it was an investigation nibble that rapidly lead to an all out bite. I tried putting things with the GSP and the chase fast fish and nibble on stationary objects. Same for my ceylons. The humpback puffer will ambush pretty much anything that gets close or when the lights are out he sneaks around like a ghost and lunges for them. He eventually kills everything and eats them most of the time. I was curious to see his feeding behavior on live fish thats the only time i've tried with him, i used some tank raised (done it myself) danio for the snacks. They werent fast enough..they had to sleep sometime and he could see a bug on the wall across the room.

PS nice price on the fahaka...i've never ever seen any available in my area. So i've never been tempted to have to set upa 180 plus gallon tank..though i need too for my bigger preds and i gotta do it soon.

Well I set up the 55 just for him, I kept it very basic as I wanted to leave him as much swimming room as possible. I changed over to sand, a small piece of driftwood and some PVC pipe for him to retreat to if he feels the need. I'll see if I can get some decent pics later on, nothing spectacular, just a place for him to call home.
