I've heard on other sites thatpetplace takes weeks to get thru Canada, Big Als has a canada site, yes?

For canada, my favourite online retailers are http://www.jlaquatics.com (BC) and http://www.mops.ca (ON). Since they are Canadian, you don't have to risk paying huge amounts of duty on cross-border shipments. Their prices are competitive with American prices, especially jlaquatics.

I recently started a brackish aquarium using a refractometer. It's extremely easy to use and very precise.

No problem... I've had great dealings with both retailers. Mops was able to get me meds in 2 days ... pretty important when I couldn't find what I needed at the LFS.

I recommend you go to your local brewing supply store. They sell glass floating hydrometers with ratings between 1.000 and 1.017, perfect for brackish water.

Better than an antifreeze hydrometer, but not the tool for the job.
