Read this before posting!!
Since this board has been up, we have found there are several questions that routinely get asked in order to help diagnose problems. If you can have that information to begin with in your post, we'll be able to help right away (if we can!) without having to wait for you to post the info we need.
1) Your water parameters - pH, Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrates and salinity (if appropriate). This is by far the most important information you can provide! Do not answer this with "Fine" "Perfect" "ok", that tells us nothing. We need hard numbers.
2) Tank size and a list of ALL inhabitants. Include algae eaters, plecos, everything. We need to know what you have and how big the tank is.
3) Feeding, water change schedule and a list of all products you are using or have added to the tank (examples: Cycle, Amquel, salt, etc)
4) What changes you've made in the tank in the last week or so. Sometimes its the little things that make all the difference.
5) How long the aquarium has been set up, and how did you cycle it? If you don't know what cycling is read this: Fishless Cycling Article and familiarize yourself with all the information. Yes. All of it.
We want to help, and providing this information will go a LONG way to getting a diagnosis and hopeful cure that much faster.
While you wait for assistance:
One of the easiest and best ways to help your fish feel better is clean water! If you are already on a regular water change schedule (50% weekly is recommended) a good step to making your fish more comfortable while waiting for diagnosis/suggestions is to do a large water change immediately. Feel free to repeat daily or as often as you can, clean water is always a good thing! Use of Amquel or Prime as a dechlor may help with any ammonia or nitrite issues, and is highly recommended.
Note - if you do not normally do large water changes, doing a sudden, large water change could shock your fish by suddenly changing their established water chemistry. Clean water is still your first goal, so in this case, do several smaller (10%) water changes over the next day or two before starting any large ones.

will do, still nothing as of today, i read around looks like some member have had their big guys for for a couple of weeks...so will see, i put food in his tank and then take it out and replace it after 24 hours if he has not eaten it...the big snail is still cruising around, when he is gone i know ackmed has eaten....
Too many tanks, not enough room, maybe i should just flood the basement!!

so not being one to let things go idol for long...grabbed my digital thermometer and put it in his tank...the glass one i have reads 78...cant be right water feels way colder...digital says 74.9 will no wonder he is not doing much, he is freaking cold...so why is his water cold...pull the tops off and start looking at my heaters, i have three 250w marinelands.. middle one is hot to the touch, ok that one is working, right one is working, turn them both up to 80 and 82, (i find they are always a few degrees below what the setting is) and check the left one...nothing...no heat no nothing...well that would explain some things...he is slowing down because of the cold, so grabbed a spare, seem to have a few of them it is only a 100w....but it will work until i can get to the store...set that one high and will see what will happen...dont want to add just hot water and shock him so we will do it slowly...that should be the trick....
on another note...my GSP's love the garlic mussels...

temp is back up to 79.5 and he still has not eaten yet....will be getting some different foods this week and try some more...will do another water change and see if that pops him back to normal....still not to worried yet...

threw a live candian crawler in the tank at least he is not swimming away from it...will let it sit and see what happens, check the water again same specs as before which would be right on....dumb fish...why wont you eat????? you are seriously starting to stress me out.....

I feel your pain.
Going to try and treat my tank with Methylene Blue to see if that helps with any infection tonight.
I am going on 5 weeks without eating. Wednesday My California Black worm will be in.

5 weeks????? holy crap.....i thought two weeks was stressfull....dumb fish...they have access to food, don't have to hunt, have it made, no predators and this is how they thank us......

well he is just sitting in his corner, the worm is sitting in front of him the mystery snail is cruising around on the glass and the mussel is still there..he has no appetite at all and he just looks sad....when i get up (i work 3pm -3am) in the morning i am going to to a good water change and maybe relocate some of his stuff to see if that will get him to move...will only do a 40% since i had just done a 60% a few days ago...just dont know what else to do with him...there is just no sign of anything wrong...nothing...everything i have read and studied and watch him over the years nothing...we are so careful with his tank and him i just dont get it...would really hate to lose him...
