I agree, 2 F8's would fit quite comfortably in a tank that size.

I think one F8 is perfect. Nothing like the relaxed/less competitive personaity of a singleton. IMO/IME 10 bumblebee gobies would also be perfect.peabuddy wrote:Yep have learnt my lesson

That's great I'm going to look at the tank this time
And see what it's like hopefully be gd condition and ill be on my way to setting

When's to my town and fish van on market and he was selling
Wincle (some kind of snail) can you feed these to your puffer ?
Want to make sure he gets hard shelled food to wear the teeth
He didnt have any thing else apart from crab legs want to stock up some
Food for the little fella how long will food last in the freezer thanks in advance x

Also can you put bogwood and other wood in a salt aquarium

Drift wood tents to rot away rather fast in brackish water from what I have heard. Plenty of rock work and fake plants will give a visually complex home for him. Not sure on the winkle but most meaty foods are accepted, make sure it's raw.

Why not re-seal the tank? I'm resealing the 75 I got on craigslist. GE Silicone 1 all you have to do is scrape the silicone out of the inside and re-apply.

Yes, winkles are fine. Freeze at least overnight & thaw, before feeding.

Sorry to be so late to the party- this thread must have run while I was off-line.
I have to disagree very strongly with the comments on substrate. F-8s have a high requirement for alkalinity. IME, it is as important as the salinity or perhaps more so. I would never set any F-8 tank without aragonite sand, period. Buy extra, as it may need some supplement every 3-5 years to compensate for solution of the sand unless your water is quite hard.
