yeah like the pigmy potbelly pigs instead of a nice rounded blimp look. i dont know if you checked BW forum there but i havent been able to get my hands on some of that stuff yet, still working on it.
little update:
what i thought were dull colours were only signs of stress. they both get stressed when someone looks in the front of the tank, almost instantly the colours fade and they hide. the only thing i can guess is they didnt like me taking pictures because when i come to the side of the tank both make curioous faces at me.
so a great deal of colour improvment.
they both still look thin. im feeding a little more frequently because if the IP's. still havent seen them poop yet. not vacuuming anythingn up. my nitrates are fantastic. typically less than 10ppm because im changing it out so often.
they sure love shrimp. which is good cause i think shrimp is nasty
im lowering the temp in the tank from the ich treatment. we are down to 82deg now. think i might leave it at that. neither are flashing anymore so that could have been a temp issue. i still believe they have IP's tho, they are very thin and i have never seen poop in the tank.
ive decided to give both of them up. im going to offer them on WWM for shipping cost (if someone wants to tell me how to ship these guys) but not until after i have dewormed them and kept them around to make sure they dont react badly. so at the earliest, the end of May?? if anyone is interested, give me a shout!!
again, thanks a bunch for all of the advice!!

Shipping is very hard on fish. Your best bet would be a lfs or someone locally that would take them. Or you may have a change of heart and hang onto the little guys. :p

Yep, that's the stuff. No, no need to mess with the pH when feeding them. I'm not truly convinced you need to alter the pH if it's used in the water column, either, but I definitely prefer soaking food in the stuff as the first line of treatment anyway.
