I haven't checked what the Pufferpedia suggests for large puffers in a long time, but I think a full-size Fahaka needs a 2x2x6' tank plus sumps. A full-size T.mbu is much larger/higher mass, so needs a much larger tank to develop normal body configuration and swimming space. Hobby tanks are just not sufficient, nor are standard household foundations engineered to withstand those loads. That is effectively a fair-sized indoor pool, with more than pool-water input processing and much more effluent processing. To support such a tank I would have been required construct an artificial wetland with staged pools to handle the waste water. The cost of that alone would have been huge. Like ocean-going sailing vessels, if you have to ask the price, you cannot afford it. I do not consider over two-foot puffers to be hobby fish. Fahakas do not have the personality or charm, but they can be managed properly in the hobby.
FWIW, YMMV
