I believe you may be incorrect. I bought these 2 & they looked exactly like the same GSPs you see at any store, when they were juvies.

I know how to distinguish the baby sabahensis and GSPs ! In China, the sellers are good at distinguish them.Although they look almost the same,there are still differences between the baby sabahensis and GSPs.But I don't know why people in the western countries can buy the baby sabahensis among the GSPs.You are so lucky to buy them.In China,you would never have such a good luck to buy a baby sabahensis among the GSPs.The baby sabahensis are more expensive than GSPs.
I'll set another post to distinguish the baby sabahensis and GSPs.

Maybe you don't agree with me, but I dare to say the one which seems to be stuck at 2.5 inches is GSP,and the other one which grew to 3.75 inches is sabahensis,because sabahensis grow the second fastest,and the fastest is ceylon puffer,but the smallest is GSP.Seldom GSP will be over 4 inches.

Actually, the adult size of a GSP is 6".

Well,actually I want to say that your two puffers are sabahensis,but I am sure you will disagree with me.Just see the post below.

I saw many videos in YouTube,and many sabahensis keepers said that their little cuties are GSPs, so it's hard for me to change your opinion.I have no other evidence to show my opinion is right,and the only way is to do the long-time experiment that I suggested in my post.
