Sorry to hear that you lost him, don't beat yourself up we are all learning

I want to sincerely thank all those that offered advice. I'm going to do my best to treat the surviving guy the best I can. They're amazing little creatures. He's doing ok, his color is much better and he's been eating. He's been through a lot. I will do right by him.
