You have your f8 in fw still? Do you plan to move him to brackish? The bbg's will also benefit from an sg of 1.003-1.005

Thought fig 8 was fw all the way the gobies i got are fw. Theres 2 different kinds of the bb gobies ones true fw which is mine

F8 are a brackish fish. As far as I'm aware the bbg thing is a myth, they are true brackish fish, I could be wrong on the bbg thing tho.

Well what kinda puffers are fw and peaceful enough to live with killi . Also are there any fw gobies out there

No puffers are really peaceful, saps are the most peaceful but generally need regular dentistry and are schooling so need lots of swimming room

It is really low end brackish 1.005 and they don't need huge tank spaces. You could probably find a used tank for cheap on craigslist and find most of the stuff used, they are really fun fish and worth the effort.

Sorry, yes, I mean the figure 8 and the goby they would be very comfortable in a 20g long which is commonly sold on craigslist for cheap. With that tank you gain sufficient room for both fish and a bit of extra comfort space, it's really low end brackish so the salt costs would be low and you would just need a small bucket to mix the water in and f8s are a nice intro puffer. Since you gain the experience of learning how to take care of puffers and you also gain an introduction into brackish water which will allow you to venture into a whole new area of puffers.
(also giving you the option to gain the first steps into full marine ones if you eventually feel like going that way)


also agreed, puffers are aggressive and aren't really ever considered community tank fit.

True never thought about it like that i do need to learn salt eventually and i already got a mbu so no need for any other fw puffer ok thx
