AFAIK they're both OK for FW fish. Vitachem however has a FW solution which is what many of us use.

Sorry for the late reply but its great news. I kept up the 50% water changes twice a day and target fed him for a few days and im delighted to say he has made a full recovery; he seems even happier and more comfortable than before. I have decided my once a week water change probably wasn’t enough so am going to do 40% twice a week in order to keep the water conditions perfect.
I still have no idea what could have caused it but im glad he is better, im not going to buy shrimp from that lfs again and will probably hold off feeding him any live shrimp for a while as he seems happy enough with the variety i am feeding him.
