More than likely acclimating to his surroundings. My GSP's go on a hunger strike for a day or two every time I redecorate the tank, add/remove something, or move them.

Try soaking foods in garlic, to enhance flavor & appetite.

Yep i will get some garlic. It took about a week to get my porcupine eating good when I got him so I'm not worried .

Stick with snails! Mine would only eat blood worms for the first few weeks (after his 2 week hunger strike was over). Now the list is pretty extensive:

Crayfish (marmokrebs that I have breeding in a 75 gallon)
Market Shrimp (thawed)
Red ramshorn snails (breeding in 10 and 20 gallon tanks)
Earthworms (gardens in backyard and parents yard) - this also includes the occasional Night Crawler (HUGE earthworms)
Pellets - NLS floating for large fish (this is only occassionally, maybe once or twice a month)
Red wigglers (as a snack, breeding in a rubbermaid in my basement)

As you can see, Fahaka's will eat almost anything. Stick with the best crunch!
