I went to the place with the expensive DPs to test myself in preparation for this weekend. I was able to pick out the males and females very easily, much to my surprise.
The males' eye wrinkles were very apparent, and they were overall a bit darker and more yellow than the females. They didn't have their tummy stripes yet, but the eye wrinkles were a dead giveaway.
The females were rounder, lighter in color, with their spots more round and less stripey. I find them a lot cuter than the males!
Where can i buy a DP puffer?
