Portland is a different world from the rest of the US. My son has lived there for years now.

I live in Tacoma, Washington and am only about two hours away but the whole area is much different. Even Seattle is different than Portland in the way it feels. Ive been to other fish stores in Portland but The Wet Spot is really unique in the sheer size and quantity of fish there. They have a huge (500g I believe) African cichlid tank and I think back in the 'sitting' area there is a display tank with a Fahaka in it too.

Here it is many years later and my hairy puff from Wet Spot is fat and happy and one of my all time favorite fish Ive owned. So I decided to get another puffer and Wet Spot was my store of choice once again. This time it was a Suvattii that I ordered. Fish came in healthy and at the advertised size. Very happy with the fish.

Wet Spot is still my all time favorite fish store I have shopped at and one that I trust for my online fish orders.
