The GSPs could be drip acclimated to the marine conditions too.

My tank is a fully cycled saltwater set up just ready to add fish, I just can't decide on which fish.

Yes, GSPs are a good choice for a marine tank, just as T. fluviatilis

Or a mated pair of tobies of your choice (C. valantini are quite easy to sex). You'd still have room for some other fish and the tobies are less aggressive towards most other fishes.
