Your plants look great. What salinity are they at? I'm really hoping that I can have some nice, big ferns and anubias at 1.005.

I tested the SG on Wednesday it was at 1.002. Since then I have started to go higher in SG. Before that it was at 1.003. I'll let you know when i get to 1.005 and report back.

Don't raise your SG more than .02 per week, or you will kill all your bacteria off and have a lot more problems.

Thanks for the heads up. I am doubt very very slowly. But is aquarium salt the way to go. I am also planning on changing the substrate to that argonite sand stuff I keep hearing about.

From what I've heard, for plants in brackish, the slower the better. I can't speak for GSPs, though!

I do know that you need to be using marine salt, as in the salt used to mix saltwater for saltwater tanks. Aquarium salt is just salt used for medicating and whatnot.

I already have the tank picked out (and hidden in the attic so that the husband doesn't freak) and the scape in my mind. And a name.

I think I need puffer therapy.

Couldn't agree more! Come moving day once the stuff is moved in priority 1 is getting the 55gal set up along with hopefully the 40Gal i can get as well this next week. Already have a ton of Favorites bookmarked for live plants for brackish, filters, filter media, i mean you name it, its a dam list lol. I pretty much have that money spent and planned for from when i lost my puffers :(. 55 Gal gonna be for a GSP, the 40 Gal will be F8's (depending if i get that one i really like that i saw, $100 for tank/sand (solid oak btw), filter, and lots of deco/plants).
