Hey LGP, I have a problem with 8 of the shrimp. Two of the larger shrimp are swimming around eating and such. But the smaller 8 shrimp are just hiding under and around the five moss balls all the time. Why are they unhappy? There is a snail in there but nothing that could eat them. Can they sence the arrowhead through the divider?

Younger ones tend to hide more. How big are they?

There about 1cm - 1.5cm the seller said 2 - 3 weeks old, two of them are much more red and mabie 2cm.

the light intensity & lack of plants (like moss) are the bigger "fear factor" for young Shrimps, try to moderate light intensity putting some floating plants, like riccia fluitans, that is quite beautiful and infusories provider plant
Also put some roots or small rocks on the tank, that will be a more friendly space for zoeas.

Okay, that's a fine shipping size. They will probably start spending more time out in the open soon.

So i came across this and once i have my new tank set up i'd like to start breeding these shrimp from what i've seen they are better than the ghost shrimp for the puffers (F8's). How long does it take for them to start breeding and hatch and get big enough to start feeding to my F8's. I've been looking for breeding cycles for these guys but can't seem to find anything good. What luck have you had with breeding these guys?

The tank i'd be setting up would be a dedicated 10Gal for them. And do you have a website you could recommend to go through to order them if my LFS doesn't carry them? THANKS!

I've gonna have a spare tank soon, it's about 15g. Hopefully my lfs will be ordering some rcs if they're on the list tomorrow, what's a good amount to start off with?

LOL! No, they are smart. Moss balls are favorite feeding grounds for many shrimp. Staying near cover is a strong survival trait for small shrimp.
