ip is internal parasite(s).......................probably gulped some air, hold him gently by the tail , so heads pointing up and wave him gently from side to side that;ll dislodge the trapped air .................prob might be bit constipated aswell with that feast he's had in his new tank ! lol

i might have missed it, but i couldnt find it while going back through this thread. what type of puffer is it? it does sound like air to me. if it doesnt come out, he will wind up dead. you could do some epsom salt to help with constipation but i dont think that is the issue. tell tale signs of air is rolling to a side, trouble with swimming or keeping itself anchored at the bottom of the tank(i.e: tail raising while rest of body on substrate).

were not blaming you, were just asking you methods of introducing him into your tank. did you dump him from the bag in the tank, put in a container and ease into the tank, scoop him with a net to put in? just that type of stuff. he very well could have done it to himself if he was curious and tried getting something above the tank or got startled and darted around splashing about

glad to hear! hopefully he pulls through. if he doesnt show signs of improving then you might have to try again, but at least you know you got something out! rubbing the belly also is suggested sometimes if it seems pretty lodged in there

Try the tail-holding burping again. Still air in him.

the last burp he filled with water and puffed up
That's exactly what you want to happen. The water he has inhaled when puffing will replace the air. :)

Nah, your tank looks fine. Give him a rest & try again.
