however she hates water changes so this is somewhat normal.... but there is a large snail in there so that I can tell if she starts to feel better
she loves snails,

we are not ok yet however I think the snail will tell me how we are doing

Many, many, many water changes--80% every other day--while vacuuming the substrate well, to remove any free-swimming cysts.

Once the treatment is going she will calm down and act as normal, eating etc. The initial shock or wtf as i like to call it will soon be over

My phosphates are 1.0 ??? more water changes?

Oh just checked on what raises the phosphate and the list included Salt :reface:

The list had all kinds of things that are not going on in my tank however salt was the last one

Don't worry about phosphates, but continue with water changes as specified with the heat and salt treatment.
Phosphates even in high levels aren't harmful to fish, under anything I've read. It's a necessity in their diet and is added to their food.

Sevenyearnight, I could not see where it was harmful to fish, however can be harmful to plants and it does make alge grow like crazy

how slow do you raise the tank heat? with a water change it dropped and now I have added worm water with the cold and we are at 78 I think you know the first line in the top yellow ??? we have a ways to go to get up to 82....

Let your heater warm it up.


Next time try to match the temps before adding the water. Even just by touch

Yes, adding cooler water can slow the process a bit, get an extra thermometer if you don't have one.
Be careful on raising the temps, watch her closely.

0.5 phosphate is ok in a heavily planted tank, a lot of people claim to have high levels and no algae :/
I had to start dosing phosphate in my planted tanks because I guess between the not so many fish doots and low to no phosphate in my tap, the phosphate was 0 and the plants were showing deficiencies.

I did warm the water to the touch, however we were not at 82 to start with..... I have a huge jabot jagar it I can drop another one in however I am afraid it will raise the temp too quick.

She is back under the sand now ???? and has not bothered the snail yet I will have to take a pic of her laying by the snail it will be the one and only time this will prob. happen not so funny

Yeah, don't raise the temperature too fast.
Check the water temp with a thermometer next time to be on the safe side.

Try live earthworms as a great food temptation. Lots of read meat protein in them.
