Smudge had a pretty easy time getting the snail out. These have a large empty cavity inside the shell. Its like they're a big shell with a tiny snail inside.

@goldie ~ are there really crayfish species where the female only grows one claw? That seems awfully strange for crayfish. The marmorkrebs I breed lose claws occasionally, but they always grow back when they molt.

Sorry for the confusion-- It's not that they only grow one claw, they grow two, just one is much more smaller in size. One very large claw and one very small claw. Still I am not sure. It was a long time ago.

60g: Perches the starry blenny, 1 watchman goby Snaps the l.c. hermit, 2 emerald crabs, 1 red crab, 2 turbos, 7 asteas, 2 nerites, 2 clown gobies and 2 firefish gobies (upgrading to a 90 gallon reef)
