I just have 9 of these



I am expecting them to become food at some point but they are really fast at retreating into their shell, unlike a certain sand hermit that got eaten over the course of a few days.

very nice pictures! im really hoping my gsp's dont attack anything. but isnt it basically that if yours dont attack the things in your tank than your probably feeding them too much??? thats why its best to keep them species only?? (with a few exceptions)

I wouldnt say that it means they are over fed, to me id say they are feed correctly.

He goes for sand hermits and everything else I've tossed in so far. These are really quick before the puffer gets even close they retreat far away into the shell. Mind you I could be feeding him too much, that I am unsure of. I give him food until his belly is fairly rounded which is usually about half a cube of ocean nutrition food cubes (blood worms, krill, brine shrimp, some others) or some cracked MTS and sundays is his day without any food. Though if he grows a bit more I can start switching to once every 2 days I think.

I found my hermits at night sleeping in little slots in the LR where they cant be knocked down or gotten to in any way lol. They know to hide when ever Bacon comes near

Sounds like your feeding him well.

cool i hope my puffers are cool with the tiny hermits. has anyone here had luck putting damsels or tomato clowns with their puffersÉ i know those are the two people say maybe... not to jack the thread...

both of those are known to be aggressive. Need a decent size tank to keep those together
