The medication you want to get, as stated, metronidozal and praziquantel. Jungle makes a product in a tablet form , and there is another by Tetra in a tablet form. But there are others, some in powder. Break off a small piece, put food in a small bit of tank water, add pressed garlic or extract, and add the small piece of tablet. Allow it to soak for about 1/2 to 1 hour.
The garlic is to get them to eat it, if that medicine tastes anything like it smells, it would straight up be like eating a surlaW infused alka seltzer. They may not eat it if you soak it long.

I'm not sure I would soak food in the espom salt, but soak the antibiotic for sure. I'm actually doing that as I type for my new figure 8.

+1. I really like the jungle tablets, but I just buy the ones I listed earlier now because they are cheaper in the long run, and are pharmaceutical grade. Supposedly the garlic also helps get rid of IPs, although there is no true research on this that I am aware of.

I agree on the garlic. It does have some anti-fungal and antibiotic properties, and I've also read claims on anti-parasitic, but I would not trust it alone to fight off the squirmy surlaW eating bowel demons.

This is for BW/SW fish & should be dosed at 1/2 the 1st day & then the 2nd half the next day. For FW, it is 1 tbsp/10g.

Ok thanks everyone. Going to do the diluted espom salts now and go to the Lfs that specializes in salt fish and see if they have those Meds. I have to go to work today but will try to post a picture later. You r very informative and I appreciate the knowledgeable advise!

Not to steal thunder from the OP, but I bought some of the tetra tablets today (sevenyearnight suggested I treat for IP a few days ago), and I'm wondering how long I should feed tablet-infused food to Lola?

Good question. I think it's a week.
What did the article say on duration?

Hmm, well for use with Fenbendazole i'm seeing 3 days a week for two weeks.. But Tetra doesn't have that. I accidentally bought pellets first and had to exchange em, that said 3 days a week for 4 weeks. Tetra says... up to three times per week. Article also says I might see results as early as next morning.
Guess it's a range, haha.

I'd go with 3 to 7 days.
Check the doodoos for color and consistency, and also watch for worms passing. If the doodoo is not white, yellowish mucus like, and no more worms are exiting, and tummy doesn't look pinched shortly after meals, you should be good.
