Thank you for your input and all that info rtr but I do understand what your saying I'm an environmental major with a minor in chemistry I was simply wondering if/or when I should switch to instant ocean to make my fish happy lol

RTR is a book of knowledge . LOL Well if your making brackish water you will want to use Instant Ocean or an equivalent. The API aquarium salt isnt ment to be used for making brackish or marine water . Instant ocean has elements in it to ( come close to it anyway) duplicate the natural ocean water. And to those stalking me see no exclamation points , hahahahaha just kidding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
