They like good flow. They shed their skin & it needs to be blown away. Lighting is very easy for them, PCs are fine.

I have to ask again: what food would you recommend for me to buy to them?

Light is their only food. Look up how zooxanthellae works in corals.

Aaaand... :rimshot: ...we have a hitchhiker! I found my first hitchhiker right now. This little guy was moving around in the tank.
Image
Does anyone know what it is? It's about 1/2 inch. The shell has some stripes that's moving around the shell in a spiral. The dots you see in the pic is other stuff growing on it. You can see the stripes though. And it has a black "tongue" sticking out in one end.

There are other stuff I wonder about too. This green stuff has a pretty color. It looks a bit spongy.
Image

Underneeth a rock I found several small things that looks like sacks of eggs. The pic is a bit infocused, but I think you can get the picture still.

Isn't the cone shaped thing it's carrying around a shell? It's even growing other stuff on it. I thought it maybe a snail of some kind.

I am still not giving up on the subject of food. What about the feather dusters. Don't they need food?

they are filter feeders & just feed off microscopic floating stuff in the water.

The new #1 is not a nudibranch, but a snail. Possibly Engina mendicaria.

I have 2 giant feather dusters that I have had for about 6 months so far. I feed the tank daily with phytoplankton.

I seem to have bought another coral today... When I bought the LR on Thursday, I was drooling over a coral the guy had in his tank. Yesterday I saw he had the same thing for sale! I just couldn't let it go. It's a Zoanthus sp. "Japan". It's just beautiful! I will take a pic tomorrow, when it's acclimatized and it has started showing itself off properly.

Jap zoas are almost impossible to keep alive. They are cooler, deepwater zoas.

and illegal to export. Any coral labeled "Japanese" is probably not "Japanese" but mislabeled to jack up the price.

A couple of years ago, it was being sold as "live rock". What ever came along with it was legal.
