The bristlesnose never outgrows the tank and can live upwards of 12+ years. Eh? Stunting? I don't agree with this sorry!

You don't have to agree

Google Bristlenose Pleco. Note that there are varities.
Some sites will say max size of 4", some will say 6". some say 10g min, some say 30g. some say 12 yrs, some say 20 yrs. you get the idea.
from my personal experience, I've never had to worry about one outgrowing a 30g. a small female can live happily in a 20g, maybe even a 10g. I would use a clown pleco for a 10g though. the oldest BN I've had was about 5 yrs. Sold him when I got divorced and he was about 3.5" in a 55g tank with 2 3" females.
