yeah this is my lesson learned. if i have another fish setup anytime soon, i will have premixed water with power head running in the basement. ive decided not to keep the tank and wait a little while before setting up another. im going to attach a picture of my heater with the glass separated from the top, how it looked when draining the tank the other night

here is the heater, also a picture or two of the bristle worms at the surface. not that great of pictures of the worms, my roommate just got her phone(same as mine) but hasnt figured out how to focus well with it in the camera

That one's nice. My mixing pump has valves on it that will pump the SW upstairs to my tanks.
