Ok , He will eat ghost shrimp out of my hand but the little bugger will come close but not take the clam meat out of my hand ! Gonna try the garlic soak tomorrow ! Been feeding the ghost shrimp clams and vitamin enriched pellets ! Tlll i get his sneaky fishy butt onto the good food , I got a feeling were close! LOL

A smart thing to do would be to use the foods he does like to attract him to attract him to other foods so, wedge live ghost shrimps in the shell of a clam so they are sticking out. And let him eat the shrimps out of the clam! This should increase interest in clam shaped foods

I tried to hold the clam meat and ghostshrimp together but he picked the shrimp and swam away! I like the wedge idea ill get some clams in the shell later today!

Petey seems to be gaining weight ! Still only eating the gut loaded ghost shrimp! Ive tried Clams on the half shell, squid, clam meat , shrimp from the grocery store! He bit the clam meat and spit it out , same with the squid, Ive done the garlic soak and even tried hanging it on string. Hes pretty smart I even tried to pig in the blanket ghost shrimp, lol ( ghost shrimp with clam meat around it) .But hell eat out of my hands which is helping me trick him into biting the other foods. But from what ive been told this is natural of the little guys , to eat ghost shrimp. , Till there ready for other stuff.

He's looking a lot better, I hope you have better success trying to diversify his food!

Great job getting him filled out but GS are getting $$$ aren't they? Have you tried bouncing food off a thread? How about earthworms & crabs?

Ghost shrimp arent to bad in price. There either 12 for $2 or 10 for $1 . I was looking into crayfish but there like $8 or crabs cost are around $5. Earth worms are an idea !

I get giant crays around here for <$2.

Yeah needless to say I only got to the 1 store when the others are out of ghostys!

Ok He ate the tail and head off the crayfish , not bad for a $7 experiment. The Crab got bit but no death yet !

No waste here though. I Fed left overs to my White Spotted Hermit Crab ! Ill have to submit it Next Month PP , I submitted my photo already for this month !
