is that where its going to stay? I like a lot of the dwarf cichilds but am afraid they will get eaten

They are not aggressive, just predatory. GF are nice large fish. Anything that is over 3" and not aggressive.
If a fish bites him, he won't have the mind set to attack, just runs away while getting bit. If it's a 3" + fish, he'll ignore it.

My husband got too attached to the odessa barbs and
Flag fish, and is very excited to see such activity levels and color in the tank. Mortimer is his fish, and he's decided once he is better from his illness, he will get rehomed. Today I'm starting round 3 of trying yet another medication. He's not getting worse, and he has gotten slightly better, but this time I have a good feeling.

I have found that when dealing with CL, it's 1st come 1st get it! I have so many people from there stand me up, that I take dibs for nothing anymore.

I do understand that, but jeez it was the best deal on CL. I found a 75 with 2 hobs and stand and fish(mollies and what not) for $175 i may go look at

On another note, could I house angels with a S bichir? Angels get decent size and arent aggressive right?

I've always been afraid of the dangling fins, so I don't know if they would try to bite them thinking they were worms or something.

IMO, angels should be fine but I didn't get my answer about aggressive or predatory.

Thanks, I guess I just was seeing the post about the GF. I don't think it would go after an angelfish then.

I can say that my bichir would sniff out a new addition, it gets placed into 1 of 3 categories:
1) Delicious and fits in mouth, could be active or stationary. (Worms, small fish, fish food pellets)
2) Not Delicious, does not move (Rocks, vegetables, plants)
3) Delicious, moves around, but does not fit into mouth (Large non-aggresive fish, large snails)

Since he can't see well, he remembers things by smell mostly. So if he has determined the angelfish as category 3, he should always leave him alone.
