goldfish have never caught my attention in a sense that i would want to keep them. i have always enjoyed looking at the different styles, pattern and shapes of them all. they can be pretty funny looking. i would probably get some that could go into a pond if i ever had a pond

No PP, I didn't I do not want to miss keeping GF any more than I already do. I miss having a cool basement. My one "old" goldfish feeder has to live in 75F or higher water 24/7/365.

Around here, Celestials in pools are called heron food. I can see multiple farm (cattle and horse) ponds from the back deck. Big blue herons are common - which is why I do not have a pond. I haven't the space or $$$ for a Koi pond, so I have none. When we were in town I did have a pond, but not big enough for Koi.

Here I would even wonder about toy dogs. We are rich in hawks also - you have not lived until you are in the kitchen fixing a cup of coffee and a big Rd-tail dive bombs the feeders. They all but never get anything, but the falcons do - and have the nerve to sit on the deck screens (head-high lattice) to eat their catch. 12 feet away from you. Brazen critters they are!

Called raccoon food here... They were munching the heads & legs off my box turtles (had an outside habitat for years) & I had to re-home the rest. :(
