Thanks Srkoe :D
You know, Balki has been doing this lately, I think he's out cold sleeping, and then as soon as the camera/phone comes within view, he swims away. And then he's been having the nerve to fall asleep without tucking his tail! lol

I took a pic of him recently with his tail tucked, but the angle and his expression just made him look like a zombie, he looked more creepy than cute.

yup no eye lids 0.0

I didn't know this until I googled it but apparently fish have a permanently closed transparent eyelid that helps protect the fish's eye from damage

OMG that does sound scary. I've never heard of puffers doing that! Mine never closes or retracts his eyes, thankfully, that sounds scary. lol

Well, I'm sad to say that Balki has pretty much stopped tucking his tail when he naps, and I'm so sad :( I barely ever see him with his tail tucked anymore.
This was from last month, unfortunately the pic is really blurry and he was hiding his curled tail to the right, so he kind of just looks like an arse-less zombie.

Uggh sevenyearnight, your pictures are super adorable!
I am convinced Lola doesn't sleep. Ever. Sometimes when I wake up in the middle of the night, & there is only the glow from the street lights outside in my apartment, so it's as dark as it gets. I don't turn on any lights so can catch her sleeping, but nope. Can see her shadow darting around the tank at three in the morning with all the lights out.

My abei/turdugs(what ever it is) is funny cause he will sleep in the corner of the tank instead of his cave. As soon as he wakes up he runs to his cave though
