When you say discoloration, do you at all mean brown stripes that appear on the underbelly below the green spots. My puffer fish, Hef, whenever he gets really hungry or has a water change, he gets stripes that appear right underneath the green spots that are a dull brown color. They go away as soon as he's settled but is this normal?

I had the same experience with my gsps so I'm going to say... yes.
