got it. don't incorporate to many species. Not in brackish anyway. I have several species of freshwater fish though. And I really don't like mollies so no worries about that. as for feeding the puffer how does live snails every 3 days sound with blood worms in between

lol id say bloodworms every 3 days and snails in between. they should eat more snails than anything. Plus its a lot cheaper to get snails! you can also feed them other things, check the pufferpedia for a list of suitable foods. That is, I think theres a list? on the side, i also feed them live ghost shrimp, cherry shrimp are a good choice (and easy to breed) and frozen brine shrimp. I also hear that frozen blackworms are great but I have yet to find any near where I live.

I meant the blood worms for the gobies. The puffer will get fed snails regularly.

Whoops, my mistake! Youll also notice the gobies go after shrimp, even a jumbo shrimp tail you put in there. the puffers may or may not feed on it, mine dont seem to care for it anymore, strangely. I think theyll eat flake food but I dont know if thats staple diet for gobies. i just put it in there for the mollies, but the gobies eat it too.

Mine did. FD worms, plankton, & krill. They even ate pellets that had a high percentage of shrimp or krill. A couple would even eat the green OSI flakes I got for the mollies (those flakes also had a high shrimp percentage -- knight gobies ate them, too).

Youre welcome! Good luck with your new fish! Gobies are a lot of fun, they have funny grumpy faces and stick themselves to everything due to their little 'suction-cup' underfin. Youll notice the F8s really just ignore them, even at feeding time. F8s are a lot of fun to keep too. My hubby and I cant resist catching them once in a while to feel their soft tummies. Theyre like little fat legless frogs, or giant tadpoles! I find my gobies take very little effort to care for at all. They arent shy and will eat while the puffers eat.

I keep BB gobies with mine. I got extras to start as I read that they can sometimes have trouble adjusting and feeding. I now have 4 and they do just fine with my 2 F8's. I feed them frozen bloodworms, they hate the freeze dried lol. I tried molies but had to give them away because my puffs had trouble eating with them around. They just seemed too busy and the F8's (mine anyways) seem to like a bit of peace when eating.
