heh wish i could find out where all the GSP's are hiding in Hong Kong... must be lurking around somewhere...

Not sure but probably a GSP? The rare ones have small spikes (though I wonder how visible they are when they are deflated).

That puffer doesn't have the bright green spot though.

they all have spikes, just depends how big the puffer is i guess or how prominent in a species. here is a GSP puffed up, poor guy

I do believe those pics on Puffernet are of the FW shoutedeni but looks at what they are calling a fluviatilis.
