dont know how accurate/good that site is for information. says no smaller of a tank than 100 gallons, but also says it gets to 24". if thats the case i wouldnt go with a tank smaller than 24" wide so he can turn around completely and comfortably. what puff do you currently have(i think i remember s&s)? what size tank?

Oh yes... mixing Clown triggers with puffers... I cannot recommend.
Well you are right but the cool thing about soapfishes is the little goatee..lol. Which most other groupers do not have.

Clown triggers become SUPER aggressive. There is one at this LFS I frequent that will bite at your fingers outside of the tank or attack the sponge as you attempt to clean the tank.

My S&S puffer did the same thing when I first brought him home, he doesn't do it anymore. My puffer is no push over, I think he would hold his own.

Sorry for being late to this thread. I added a clown triggerfish to my reef tank about six months ago. My porcupine puffer (about 4") is quite docile and seems to enjoy the company of the triggerfish. They both seem to prefer the same area of the tank and get on quite well.
Neither the trigger nor the puffer has eaten any of the live corals. However, the two sea urchins I had for algea control became instant meals for the triggerfish once he learned how to flip them over.
