But what are you doing to help him get better? Did you change foods, Water, salt?? Something must have changed for him to be getting better.......

i did change the water on saturday..and since then he has slowly been getting better..and i dropped the amount of salt in the tank

Glad to hear he's doing better. Keep bringing the salt down slowly (.002 per week to a level of 1.003-1.005) and keep an eye on the water parameters.
