Obviously, you're not the "meanest dad in the world" - an honor I have received from my kids (and hear every time I offer to chaperone my daughter's school dances).

Not only does he pay his own insurance (1388/yr liability only) but he had to accept my selection of acceptable transportation (and pay for it) - my old '94 Subaru, a slowpoke in a H.S. lot of new 5 liter Mustangs. My 13 year old daughter knows she will get an "anti-cool" car in 4 years - my 02 Prizm (Corolla)-even slower and less cool than the Subaru.

I do give a good-grades discount on the insurance.

No, I admit that the monster child was spoiled rotten. He did turn out okay though - but for a time I was not sure that we would both survive his high school...

I think an f8 in a 10 gallon is fine...its such a small fish 2-3"....a 30 long just for a fish that big is over kill...15 is okay but 10 is just fine IMO....but others will say diffrently.

ok, a 20 long it will be. im 16, but i dont drive yet, ( too scared i guess) so no auto insurance!!! maybe ill just ride my horse everywhere lol. or maybe my giant goat ( he weighs like 300 lbs and ius about 4 ft high) lol

We look forward to hearing how you arrived at this 10 gal conclusion. Providing more than the bare minimum is never "overkill". And providing less than the minimum is poor care.

Get your license as early as you can even if you do not intend to drive so you can build up "accident free driving credit". You should not need insurance *unless* you plan on actually driving and most insurance companies will give you a discount once you have had a license for five years w/o a reportable accident.

hmmm, i dont know, i have a bad feeling about driving...

i don't drive cause i cant afford insurance my car would cost 8000 a year.

Ive had fig 8s for around 5 months now in a 20 gallon i keep the salinity around 1.008 area and lower, i have 3 which i bought from an experienced pet store in brackish water, they are about 2 inches now, they have been in excellent healthy conditions this whole time, around 2 monthes ago i stopped at a fish supply store and saw a fig 8 that was around 3 inches, which is pretty big to buy a fig 8, in FW and was in terrible condition, ive nursed it almost completely back to healthy, but its fins are still a little brown, i use to have dwarf puffers in with them but were eventually eaten, but dwarf puffers can somtimes be kept with fig 8s if they do not eat them, i have also put 2 plecos in with them as an experiment, i guess they can tolerate brackish water

...and humans can tolerate smog. That doesn't mean that any human should have to live in a smog-filled environment though. Why is it that you rescued a puffer from improper conditions and then subjected two FW pleco to BW conditions?

NOT compatible. Period.

My uncle is an antique car parts distributor; he found me a 67 Alfa Romeo and helped me buy it. Unfortunately I’ve had a few crashes in other cars so auto insurance is unrealistic, until the driving board releases me from their frequent offender list. (10 months to go) Of course it doesn’t help I’m male and under 25! I guess I just like to drive fast in nice cars. Maybe I should get a bike so I am less danger to others!

I think a fig 8 would do swimmingly in a 20 gal.
