Those links you posted do not have the common name of "Ocellated" puffer. The link I gave you is for that species. The species pictured is the T cutcutia (they got that part right), but is not the commonly referred to, "red-bellied red eye" puffer. That would be the Carinotetraodon lorteti, which is a very aggressive species & I would only keep in a pair.

The irrubesco is a nicer species but again, I'd only keep a pair in a 20g:

I assumed he meant cutcutia when he said ocellated because when you type ocellated into google you get cutcutia..

Since he called the duboisi a malebo, I figured he meant cutcutia for ocellated.

That site he linked to did call the cutcutia an occelated puffer.

So Redeye, which ones do you want opinions of and experiences with?

Yes, a pair will be happy in there. Make sure that it's nice and busy

You mean lots of decor? Lots of waterflow, or lots of tankmates?

No tankmates!!!

She means for you to pick out active friendly fish.

No tankmates, they like lower current but ours do play in the high current area, and yes, lots of decor. They like a busy tank with limited sight lines. It'll help keep down any aggression and ours love to slowly inspect the tank and to peek around in all the nooks and crannies. They like dark places too so some caves are good. We have terracotta pots but they don't like them much, they prefer the small pleco caves. They're wonderful at hiding unless someone is near the front of the tank, then they just beg. Because you know, they're starving... Ours appear to be only active during the day. When the lights go out they go to sleep and they're very slow to wake up. Never seen one sleeping though

Picking out the most healthy looking fish is good too Don't worry much about ich though. Will you get to choose the fish? You definitely don't want 2 males.

I will have to speak with the LFS to see if i can have them order a bunch and let me pick out 2 of them. Now what should i feed them, will they accept freeze dried Krill or will they require a different food. Also i remember you saying i could feed them from food at the super market can you give me some exacts and how often should i feed them live snails and would Malaysian Trupet snails and Mystery snails work?

There's no guarantee what they'll eat and remember, they'll be wild caught. Ours eat almost everything, they gobble it all up. It will be cheapest to go to the grocery store and buy frozen seafood. They can eat it all as long as it is raw. Shrimp, squid, octopus, scallop, mussel, etc. Sometimes they'll be hesitant to eat a new food but with patience you should win Are you going to be breeding snails? In reality I believe you'll want to feed them as many snails as you can. Snails are excellent food, if you have it, feed it. However, you should stick to pond snails or ramshorn snails, MTS are not suitable. I have to crush snails for my irrubescos because if I don't they'll just bite the foot off and leave the rest.
