You should keep that temp up there & add an airstone. 80% water changes, every other day while thoroughly cleaning the substrate, also.

I just wanted to thank everyone for there help.... But i lost all the fish except 1 loach and 2 crawfish but the loach is bouncing around so he may not make it ....It absoultley broke my heart to see puff dead he was 11" and felt as if he weighed a pound .... he will be missed ...it gets worse when this first happened i moved the small fahaka about 2-3" to a 10 gallon hospital tank and was treating him with heat and salt and he looked fine but he passed earlier my boys will miss him he was so interactive with them feeding snails and chasing there fingers ...this has been a bad week but we must move on im gonna finish treating the tank then clean it with boiling hot water get all new substrate ,i'll just toss the plants and boil the plastic ones ....at this point my main concern are my filters do u guys think the bb is dead from the super ick api or should i just clean it all and start from scratch i would just boil all of my ceramic and bio balls probally get new foam or boil it too i have a dozen other filters i could seed it with or just start over 100% and let it cycle .... let me know what you guys think what would u do? And pp thanks for all your help i respect u alot i truly believe u are a good person tring to help people and there puffers.

Man means a more than i can say thanks alot

if you let the tank lie fallow for 4-6 weeks you should be good to go. Adding flake food every couple days and letting it decay will keep the bacteria alive during that period. Just remove the media from the filters but keep up the water movement.

Yea sorry you had a rough ride. I agree with jp leave it empty. Then just seed from other filters. Obviously make sure they are from disease free tanks.
