I'd agree with the guy being bored, I know in Dwarf Puffers at least that when they are swimming up and down the glass it's a sign that they aren't happy with their surroundings. I had rescued two and QT'd them. I only had two moss balls at the time and if they weren't hiding behind those they were "glass riding". I added a whole bunch of plants the next day and they stopped that and have became much more secure since then. It's been a bit less than a week but one allready comes and says hi all the time. The other eats his blood worms and they loved a little treat of daphnia today.
Add some more plants(fake or real)and some more deco and I bet he/she will become much more comfortable and stop glass riding.
Jelly eggs are usually snail eggs. Unless you did infact mistake it for poop
