Not sure why this was moved to marine, its in a freshwater tank. But anyways

Here is an awesome drawing of my PVC overflow, dont yall be stealing my drawing HAHA
The noise that I cant stand is coming from the intake, where the water just pours in

The red is the PVC black is tank

I'm watching this thread too.

My SW tank doesn't let me sleep... 24h flushing noise. I've been searching for solutions and I think I'll try the external durso since my tank is already drilled and has a bulkhead already siliconed.

use Google search!!! there are so many threads on stopping overflow noise.

The best is a 3 hole method often termed 'herbie fail safe', the next best is durso or stockman (about equal on noise reduction IME. they will need tuning to keep silent).

In the drawing it looks like you have a DIY U-tube style overflow. You can put a durso or stockman on that.
