+1 to PP's comment. My father and mother both were alcoholics. It made for a rather shakey upbringing so I have seen the affects that alcohol can cause. I find it sad that in this country alcohol is generally seen much differently then other countries. Alot of othere countries dont really put a label on it and in turn it tends to be a more casual thing to do. Countries like that tend to have less alcohol related problems since the youth doesnt look at it as a right of passage or a sneek and drink kind of youth like our country. A few generations of laws like those other countries where the parents morals are pasted down more then peer created morals and habbits and our country wouldnt have as much issues as we have right now. Just my opinion on the topic comeing from liveing in other countries and liveing with people from other countries that have different approaches to alcohol.

Are you saying that if parents give their kids alcohol at a younger age or don't forbid drinking, that they won't grow up to be alcoholics?

Alcoholism is geneticaly driven as much as it personality driven so you will have that in any culture. Im saying that if its not veiwed by a culture as a right of passage or a "cool" thing to do then you dont have as many binging tendencies. It works well for the cultures that look at that way and we definitaly dont have right. I just like that standpoint better then the way most americans veiw it; it causes less focus on getting drunk and more of casual use and controlled use of the substance.

I agree, not all binge drinkers are alcoholics, just stupid youngsters.

Never heard of Wet Burrito, but I do miss Taco Bell, as there's nothing like that over here. I have had Krystal's before, and that is nasty. I wish we had Chick-Fil-A over here, that was one of my all-time favourite fast-foodies, even my Pug knew what it meant when I asked him if he wanted to go to Chick-Fil-A!
And just to touch on alcoholism -- my father was an alcoholic, both brothers still are, and my first husband was too much like my father. It's a horrible way to have to live. I am not at all against drinking, but moderation is the key.

Chick-Fil-A is awsome. We've only had one in our area about 8 months or so. Just got a two for one coupon on the paper today. Gonna have to pay them a visit soon.

Oh rub it in Jose! Just because I've not been to a Chick-Fil-A in over 4 years, no reason not to rub it in that you will be going with your 2 for 1 coupon! Ha!
