MINE!!!!!! Thank you very much lobowind for posting this. And for turning me on to that store, he gets unusual puffers all the time.

That's a great store! and they had several FW puffers - a fahaka and something else in the corner but I didn't get a good enough look at it and was running out of time before they closed. I wish it was closer to me, I'd do a lot of business. OTOH, I'd probably go broke, because they have so many cool tanks, fish and plants.

My new little sweet potato is settling in ok. Really tiny, about the size of a pecan. My only concern is what can I feed her/him at this age? Seems like tiny feeder guppies would be the only thing that would fit in it's mouth. I forgot to ask them at the store, but I can call in the morning.

Small worms or a tiny piece of shrimp tail bounced off a thread. Once you get him eating dead foods, you can try F-D krill/plankton.

Congratulations reefchik on your new little buttered biscuit puffer! You know, we've got to see pictures. They are such cool little puffers.

so feed congo puffers bloodworms? cant find any congo puffers on aquabid so i just have to wait until some one put it on aqua bid or until that pet place gets them

Bloodworms are a good start but they must be fed a varied diet.

I'm devastated. She's dead. I've never had this happen before EVER. Nothing tests in the water so I can only think, toxins somehow?? Shock? She was fine last night, hiding in the sand and watching me.

So sorry reefchik We lost our angel that way, perfectly fine before and then we found him dead the next morning. Our best guess is stress from breeding at such a young age.

Please don't think it was anything to do with you .... I bought a red Congo puffer last year, was so happy to have gotten a red one. Got it home, and it was dead by the next morning. I was really gutted as I had wanted a red Congo so badly. But these things happen. These puffers go through alot to get to the tanks in our homes, and I think that it's a very stressful process for them.

I still just can't believe it.

The downside to keeping such nice fish, and isn't it weird how we become attached to these puffers so quickly?
