Separate but related...

How would snails (ramshorns and pond) do in a 10 gal planted tank with amano and cherry shrimp? Would both still breed? I spent some time searching yesterday but couldn't find anything about raising them together in the same tank.

I'm raising snails now in a barebottomed Eclipse 5 gal corner tank, but if I could raise both together in a pretty 10, that would be nice. The filtration is pitiful on the Eclipse. I have 2 spare 10s and lots of filters sitting dry in the basement.

I don't know how the 2 species of shrimp would like to share the same tank, but I have snails galore in my Red Cherry tank. It is crazy the amount of eggs. Amano shrimp do get quite large also quite unlike the little reds :)

Also Amano are notoriously difficult to breed but some on here have has some success.

I know the Amano won't breed, but if I got a couple more I just need to know if they will coexist peacefully with snails. And vice versa. The Cherries, now I do hope they would breed. And of course the snails. I would just rather look at and take care of a pretty tank full of plants and shrimp and snails rather than this barebottom utilitarian thing that isn't very appealing. So your news is good news, thanks!

WHAT do you all suppose I could put in my new 75 gallon tank????

(I didn't expect to find such a deal but how about a brand new Aqueon 75g and iron stand for $130!) Hope my DH doesn't freak out. It was not a mutual decision, LOL.
