Ah, watch that its a tall! That usually means it won't be very wide. Remember that 24" front to back measurement!

I think any fish appreciates more room. I know Paris looks comfortable in her 75 but I'd give her a 120, 180 or even a 210 if I could.. my landlord drew the line at a 75 though :(

My 170g piranha tank is a "tall" and let me tell you it's a pain in the bum when I gotta do my weekly gravel, I'm arm pit deep just so I can reach the bottom. It's nice that it's tall, but all in all honestly the fish barley go pass the half way point(unless they're being fed) and it's harder for the lights to hit the live plants cause it has to beam threw so much more water.

If I could chose again, it'd get a 6'Long x 24"wide and not tall.

20" tall isn't completely horrible, but I also have a 24" deep tank at a friends house and man is that thing a pain to reach the bottom!

You get used to it though, just put an extention on your gravel vac tube ;) Its not like you'll be sticking your hands in there to rearrange decor and plants with a fahaka anyways!

I have several 24" cross-section tanks. I don't mind working in them IF I can get to both front and back of the tanks. I am 6'3" and have long arms, but I cannot adequately set and maintain a 24" cross-section from only one side.

I have owned only one ~30" high tank. I hated it from initial set-up. It was a royal PITA to set and maintain. I traded it off after only a few months and will never have another.

Tall tanks may look nice for viewing, but are not for me.

Yea my 55g is 30" tall. Its not that bad but I do wish I woulda held out for a less tall tank for a longer wider tank. It woulda made it alot easier to build up rock and stuff. wide bottoms are better by far.

my tallest section is 25" and yes it is a pin to clean. Actually, cleaning is a pain but that comes with the territory ;)
