tried it.. and they arent falling for it.
I bought the X-Terminator mantis trap as well, with no luck. I will try starving them, but its so hard when the gizmo and binder begs for food.
I also have a flame hawk in the tank with them.

How many do you think you have? One time i caught a reef lobster that was in a crevice by taking the whole rock out and exposing it to air. It jumped out looking for water after a minute. Maybe a little FW dip will have them jump out too. Not sure about that one tho. Just ideas...

So I KNEW i would jinx it when I posted about the snails and hermits. I came home today to find the porcupine with the biggest hermit crab in his mouth, he sucked him right out of the shell, the second biggest hermit is currently preparing to move into the shell of the bigger one thats in gizmo's mouth.

The mantis shrimp will likely end the same way at some point.

I hope so!
So I was at the LFS, and couldnt pass up such an awesome deal. At first they quoted me $1200 for a 200g with 90g sump and stand. He had an extra tank their that was accidentally ordered (wrong size). Its a 155g, and hes going to make a 80g sump and stand and sell it to me for $700. Couldnt pass that up. Now only if my dad will help me finish drywalling the basement so I can start painting, etc.. I want this bad boy setup ASAP

Yea once the mantis gets to be big enough to catch the puffers eye. If I got a piggy back mantis I would set up a little 29g for him...cheap, easy, low space and fun.
