Hey All,
Well I just got home today from another week long stay in the Hospital with my daughter Sophia.
Long story short, they found a small mass in her brain , that is what was causing the vomiting, She had surgery to make a small hole to relieve the pressure the mass is causing, it is blocking a venturcale (SP?) she is a bit better and home for now, they are testing the small amount of mass that took, this will take up to 2 weeks . What I am asking for is prayers and good thoughts for a non cancer result???????
To say I am beside myself with anger and saddness and about 50 another emotmotions is an understatment. When they told me about the tumor it was like someone hit me with a planet.
The next 2 weeks is gonne be the longest 2 weeks of my life.

Don, I am sorry to hear that your daughter is not well. Am sending healing thoughts and best wishes and prayers your way.
Please do keep us posted as to how you are feeling, sometimes it's good to just get it out with people you know but who aren't in your everyday physical life, if you know what you mean.
I am sure everyone here would be more than happy to listen and we all send you support.

Hey All,
Thanks so much for all the prayers and thoughts, they mean more then you can imagine, we are thinking positive about the tests, Sophia is doing well, eating like a pig, making up for the 3+ months of vomitting she has endured.
I will update when I know more.
Thanks again, so very very much
Don

Hey All,
Just a small update, Sophia is doing well at home, her eating has slowed to normal, we are still waiting for some test results, should be here by end of the week?. We are still positive it will be good news.
On a side note, I have been able to re-home all my fish in the last few months, not having fish is weird. So under the suggestion on the doc's I went and setup
my 90 gal as a cold water tank, after a cycle, i placed a vareity of gold fish in the tank, I did this for two reasons, they are realitivly easy to keep not to mention watching the fish is a major stress reliever for me, and my daughter sophia dispite how she is feeling loves Gold fish, she will stop and gaze into the tank offen. I have a couple plecos in there as well, a clown and bulldog I did take a few pics of them, their not all in the pics, but most of them are, they are enjoying an algie waffer, and I did keep my snail breeder, cause they adore snails too.
Enjoy
Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers..
Don

I am glad your daughter is feeling better.
Cute fish ... be careful of that lurker in the back I think it is a Koi. Note the whiskers that protrude from the bottom of the mouth
you may or may not know that someone will eventually tell you that you shouldn't keep comets with fancies. Be ready to fend off the purists

Hey JP,
Yep thats a KOI! hes gorgeous I couldn't resist him LOL!, during my research the comet/fancy thing never came up, whats the reason behind not keeping them together? I only have one comet, I have 2 Ornada, 2 SHUBUNKI, 1 comet, 1 black moor, a KOI, and a RYUKIN. and well as a clown and bulldog plecos.
They've all been together for a few weeks, no sighs of fighting. But i do have a 5 gal if someone gets sick or some fighting happens
And Thanks Sophia is a real strong kid, Must be the scottish blood from her papa?

Probably
The Koi is going to dominate the tank.. that is a given. Later it will be far too fast and strong for the other fish. Next comes the comet, it will out class the other fish for food (except the koi).
Those 2 tank terrors may bump or harm the fancies, unintentionally, because of their strength, speed and later a lack of swimming room. I recorded this vid for you. Notice how quick the Koi is vs the commet and how it just "shoves" the comet out of the way near the end? That will also be the other fish in the tank later on. The fancies just can't compete.
