Yah normally one here GSP pertains to green spotted puffer lol. Nobody really uses it for giant spotted puffer. The reason she stated that is because there is not alot known of this puffer and normally its not known that it is a giant spotted puffer untill they get some size to them normally they think they have a green spotted puffer. So be aware that you might end up getting a green spotted puffer and not a true Sabahensis or "Sab".

You will be the main clean up crew! However, I added 30 ghost shrimp a couple of months ago & there are now 8 survivors, who do a great job of picking up any uneaten food & munching on the algae. (I am currently mid-brackish).

If you are going to do a brakish tank I would strongly recomend using aragonite for your substrate because it will keep a ideal ph. And in my brakish puffer tank I have a few ghost shrimp and several blue legged hermit crabs. They are marine but can live in a sg level as low as 1.010. But you will be the main clean up crew. Puffers are very sloppy eaters and spit out all the stuff that they dont want to eat, which is alot. I alomst daily pull out the left over peices of krill or whatever I have fed them.

how expencive is aragonite? I have playsand as my substrate now, and its been set up for about a month with plants and snails(yes I know my plants wont live most are going to be moved to a 5 gallon i have

Im not sure how expensive it will be there here its about 20 bucks for a bag of it. If your staying brackish you could do 50/50 aroganite and playsand if your running tite on money.

I would recomend using only aragonite. You do not need very much. like an inch of sand. the aragonite maintains your ph, helps to control your phostphate and nitrate, and adds calcium and other essentail elements to your water.

You know I was hoping this fish hobby would be cheaper then jeeps, im starting to think I was wrong LOL
