Glad to report all is well with the two tobys who are the best of pals in the LFS tank along with a longnose hawkfish and all are coming home with me soon.
The tank is all hunky dory and ready to rock and roll and the corals are going in tomorrow evening but not being secured in case I need to whip them out when the fish go in.
I plan to try leathers with the fish mainly and will have some toadstools and a bright lime/yellow finger style leather to go in so far, along with a cabbage leather too

If the puffs like the taste of them then they'll go back in my Osaka reef tank
Can't wait to get the puffs home now!

mushrooms and zoos I bet would be fine, both of them have toxins that might deter the puffs

Oh mushrooms I can do with ease

I have them dotted everywhere in my other tank. That would leave space for new corals in that tank too
Im going to move them all over tonight with any luck. I love this stage o a new tank!

Aw Shame!

corals are in and opening up already after half an hour so let's hope the puffs don't mind them

So, I am a little upset.
Went to pick up the two tobys from My LFS and the
P. solarensis was missing from the tank. On enquiring (thinking the fish had been sold) I was told he died some time during the week! I am so saddened by that news, especially as the owner had pm'd me before she went on holiday to tell me they were both getting on well together in the same tank

RIP lovely puffer!
Anyway, to cut a long one short, I came home with the valentini and a lovely coral beauty and also stopped off elsewhere to get a big blue cheeked goby to keep the sand clean
They've all settled in nicely and are eating well so here are some pics
Blue cheeks

that's all I've seen of him so far as he's excavating at the mo
The valentini who's only a tiddler at the mo
ignoring corals at the moment
These pics of the coral beauty don't do it's colouration any justice at all...it's so vivid!
So far so good
It's such a shame about the other puffer as he would have been a wonderful addition to the tank
Pics not up to my usual standard but the tank is sedimenty from the goby's excavations. Hopefully I'll get some better ones when they've settled in a bit more

Very cool! IDK... I might have waited for the puffer I really wanted. The Val is great though!

Well I had not expected to be so taken with the Valentini's but when I saw this little chap out of a group of three they had in, the fact he kept coming up to the glass to look at me rather than flee from my big face, really endeared me to him
I would love a leopard but the val is so cute I am happy with what I have completely. The coral beauty is a stunner and loves darting in and out of the caves and holes in the rockwork all the time and the bluecheek has made himself a nice little burrow that can be seen easily
We'll see what happes when the manageress comes back from her hols, but for now I'm really pleased
