I am still converting the tank from fresh to brackish, adding a tsp of instant oceans marine salt every few days or so. I dont have anything to measure the current salt level(im a little low on cash right now) but i measured out how much salt ill need to make the tank brackish and i'm going by that.

Just a note on the food -- try getting whole mussels instead of the ground up stuff. My puffers love mussel, in fact, my GSP's especially love mussels. You can also get raw shrimp with shell on (or without shell) and give them that too. Don't forget to offer them snails from time to time, they need hard stuff to help keep their teeth trimmed.

I wouldn't mess with salt, untill you get a hydrometer--they're cheap enough, <$15. They've stayed alive this long, just keep doing water changes, don't worry about adding any more bacteria.
