I have it in my room and manage to sleep well with the noise.

None of my display tanks makes any noise. I'm one of the foks who think that tanks should be seen and not heard.

I actually love the noise, because i have constant ear-ringing. the noise from the motor helps me get to sleep. but maybe thats just me.

For Gemstone I now have this huge clam decoration in the middle and the bubbles open and close the clam.
It makes a huge bubble noise. It is right at my bed. It first kept me awake but not the rhythm it makes helps me sleep.
I've taken new pictures will post once I get the off the camera. I finally found the zoom.

I don't like bubblers much because of the noise either. Especially since my F8 puffer that will be coming in this week is going to be right next to my bed

. I put the air pump in a few socks and it dulls the sound but when I try to sleep the hum drives me nuts lol

Another major downside with air features (apart from sponge filters): People will be able to spot in seconds that you are a newbie.
