define pico...

I just acquired my clean up crew. 1 hermit crab, 1 peppermint shrimp, and 1 margarita snail. I am thinking of also get getting a green crab, and maybe another snail. next week hopefully i will get my first coral!

That was a quick cycle. pico tanks are under 10g i believe.

I posted that Q long before and it too a while to get posted (obviously) ... maybe my computer was lagging

Picos are under 5 gallons. Nanos are anything 10-40g i believe. The 40g comes from the fact that big tank reefers thing 40 is nano since they have much larger tanks. So that is generally the accepted.

So whats between 5g and 10g? lol... I have a 46 gal and some consider under 55 nano and some say under 40 is nano. I guess it's not set in stone anywhere.

Nano to me is under 29g. and i guess Pico is under 10g.

Its all semantics...

I kept a aptasia in a shot glass alive for a while, what class would that be in?

pest anemone torturer or micro tiny pico?

Heh, reminds me of how I killed them at the pet store. Submerge the rock in a bucket of water, wait till they all come out. Position rock so the first "kill zone" is at the top. Drain water just enough to expose anemones. Teaspoon of instant ocean on each one, then wait an hour and rinse the salt off with a few cups of water from the bucket. I managed to get all of them into just two or so "kill zones."

I got an urchin. a short spined one. we shall see how he does.
